Pupil Outcomes 2022

St. John’s Meads is not an ‘exam factory’! Our children receive a broad curriculum which includes many enrichment activities throughout the year. We have specialist provision for Spanish, music and art and children access a block of swimming sessions each year.

Highlights from this year have included:

Trips and off-site activities – The beach, Hever Castle, Bluebell Railway, Eastbourne library, PGL residential, University of Brighton multi skills sports, the, Towner Art Gallery, Berwick Church, Eastbourne Youth Radio, WWII exhibit at St John’s church.

Fundraising/helping others – Harvest collection, AVUK, Children in Need, NSPCC number day, Downs Syndrome & Reach charity fun run.

Visitors in school – Fire service, Prevent Project support Officer, Jaws and Claws and even chicks!

Family events organised by ‘The Friends’ – Vintage Tea Party, Christmas Fayre, Easter Bonnet Parade and games, Jubilee Fete and Summer Fun Day.

In addition, our staff work very hard to help children secure skills in reading, writing and maths and we undertake the required statutory assessments.
