Mrs. Foster
I’m delighted to be teaching Year 6 again this year. Before joining SJM in 2021, I taught for many years across Key Stage 2 in a large East Sussex school. I really value working in a smaller setting here, where the strong sense of community makes teaching so rewarding.
I’m particularly passionate about teaching reading, maths, and PE, and love finding ways to inspire children in these subjects. Outside the classroom, I enjoy family time, trips to the beach, walking on the Downs, and camping. I also play netball for a local club.
Ellie White
Although I have enjoyed teaching all primary ages throughout my career, I particularly like years 5 and 6, so am pleased to be part of the Year Six team. I have a passion for music in particular and run the school choir which meets weekly on a Thursday after school. I also teach worship songs to the whole school on Monday mornings and absolutely love the joyful and uplifting singing that fills the school. I also particularly enjoy teaching writing along with grammar, and science - especially the experiments and practical fun we have.
Outside of school, I walk my dog regularly and love getting out on the downs, am part of a gospel vocal trio and enjoy a good word puzzle or sudoku. My eldest daughter has just started university and the youngest will likely follow her soon, so I am gradually entering another new phase of parenthood!
